Now there’s few words that I like more than consortium and portal; and that is just one of the exciting reasons why I’m getting all sorts of worked up for my university online degree. Are you thinking that I could engage in other activities that had some semblance of a connection with the words consortium and portal? I agree. But, I also want to get started on my career and don’t have the time to go to classes full time, because of my job.
The problem was that I have always been a little apprehensive of the programs that offered university online degrees. This is where my two favorite words come in. I can actually get my degree, online, by taking classes from major universities. Not simple institutions.
For example, If I used the Canadian Virtual University, or CVU, I have the option of taking classes from 13 established universities across Canada. There are several of these types of organizations, such as the Global University Alliance. This is a consortium of nine different major universities from the U.S., Britain, New Zealand, Australia, and the Netherlands. As you have probably gathered by now the Global University Alliance or CVU themselves have no classes to offer, but simply act as a portal for the major universities. This way your getting the benefits of a university online degree (classes at your own pace and convenience, yet still offering personalized attention), but also having the satisfaction that you’re not sacrificing a quality education.

Why Belong to an Affiliate University – The Benefits
October 13th, 2009Due to the present tough economic times we are seeing droves of people looking to the Internet and not just to surf or purchase products. They are coming for another reason. They want to join an Affiliate university to learn how to make money online, and learn as fast as they can.
I can’t real say I blame them. Many in my community have lost jobs, cars, and even homes. If you can prevent these losses by becoming an Internet marketer than why not?
I personally am felling the economic crunch and although I am not losing a job or home it is becoming an ever increasing struggle to make ends meet. Many of the extras that my family and I once enjoyed are no longer within our budget. Everyone I know is at least affected to this degree if not worse.
So what is an Affiliate University and how can it help me?
There are many online membership sites that teach their members all the skills and techniques need to earn money online. Most of these are designed with the complete novice in mind. Within a few short lessons even a novice can start seeing results. These are referred to by many names, affiliate school, affiliate course, affiliate class, and of course affiliate universities.
If you have little or no skills in the online world it would be to your best interest to get involved in at least one of these and be sure to stay a while and learn and implement as much as possible. Many quit just before they see success, go start some new program and of course start all over. A sort of YoYoing that doesn’t accomplish anything.
I have belonged to an Affiliate University for a short time now and I have been able to learn quite a bit and even make a few dollars in the process. That is what is so neat about it, the earn as you learn process. Your implement as you go and grow your online cash flow as you learn.
Many are looking for a quick fix to their desire to increase their income but the truth of the matter is there is no get rich quick solutions out there. Affiliate marketing takes dedication and hard work. If you are will to commit to that and have a burning desire to succeed you will.
